Mago Crepes et Delices

Mago Crepes opened its doors 4 months ago after Roody, a 17-year resident of Clinton Hill and an avid crepe-lover, who owns several Brooklyn-based businesses, noticed that a storefront on Grand was vacant. He decided that he would open a crepe shop so that he “would only have to travel around the corner from my house for crepes.” He enlisted his friend, Paul, who put himself through architecture school at Pratt by working in restaurants. The end result is a menu that boasts a wide assortment of crepes, both savory and sweet, as well as hot chocolate made with Jacque Torres Chocolate, and walls covered with the art of local artists.
As business owners who are deeply invested in the Fulton area because of their love of its diversity and architecture, Paul and Roody are enthusiastic participants in FAB Fridays. Says Paul, “It brings positive awareness to the Fulton area and allows us to deepen our ties to our customers, as well as meet new ones.”

Their participation also assists them in meeting one of their key objectives in going into business – to have fun.
So far, Mago’s FAB Fridays offerings have included free tastings and live open drum sessions. All are welcome to participate. In the spring, they intend to host live bands and open up the panel windows so that the music can waft out on to the street. They also look forward to collaborating on FAB Fridays events with other local merchants, which they believe is critical to the success of the Fulton area.
Paul and Roody are closely tied to Rural Haiti, a Brooklyn and Haiti-based non-profit that focuses on brightening the futures of rural Haitian children. They intend to donate some of their profits to the organization.
